Alameda is an island in San Francisco Bay located on the Oakland Estuary and just 10 minutes from down town San Francisco and 30 minutes from San Francisco International Airport and 45 minutes from Silicon Valley. Alameda is separated from the mainland by San Leandro Bay on the east and the Oakland Inner Harbor and Tidal Canal on the north.
Mariner Square
Mariner Square in Alameda has many events, businesses and restaurants. Commodore Charters is located at Mariner Square along with the Pasta Pelican Restaurant and Chevy's Fresh Mex Restaurant. Mariner Square includes a beautiful promenade on the Oakland Estuary, a Dry Stack at John Beery Yachts for 350 boats and a marina for 150 yachts and boats. There is even a gym, an Albertsons grocery store and Longs drugs store. There many fine restaurants within a few miles of Mariner Square. One of the largest yacht brokers in the Bay Area, with over forty years of service, John Beery Yachts, representing Sunseeker, Dyna, Cruisers and Fighter Yachts is at the heart of Mariner Square.
USS Potomac
Since it opened to the public in Alameda, in the summer of 1995, more than 90,000 people have visited and sailed aboard Franklin D. Roosevelt's beloved Floating White House.
Alameda Marinas
Grand Marina, the newest marina on the Island, is Located on Grand Street and Marina Village Marina, the largest Marina in the San Francisco Bay with over 950 berths, is within walking distance. Alameda Marina with 530 docks, is located nearby and Bolina Bay Marina is located across the Island with spectacular views of San Francisco.
